Google has revealed its decision to discontinue websites created through Google Business Profiles, leaving businesses with a tight transition timeline.
Beginning on March 1, 2024, these websites will cease to function, temporarily redirecting visitors to their respective profile, followed by a “page not found” error.
Google is recommending any business reliant on their business.site to replace it using a service such as Wix, Squarespace or Shopify. But these services can be expensive and time consuming to set up. They are also not allowing much time to get an alternative in place.
